Artists Statement
Personally the process of creating art is just as important as the final outcome. When I am working I wish to be in a unconsciousness state of mind. By doing this I am able to give my chosen mediums a movement of uncertainty and looseness, the results become organic and surprising. To work this way with a primitive mind is very important to me because I believe I am able to achieve the purest art I can. I am able to have a child-like freedom, able to let my mind wonder without concern or restrictions.

My influences come from everything I have heard, seen and experienced. When picking a subject to draw/paint about I take a different approach. I pick a philosophy, a theory, a thought, a dream etc…I question it, dissect it, and attach it back together, then show it in the simplest way I can.

My subject matter challenges myself as well as other people. I pick subjects that are important to me, and I need to show them on paper. Sometimes its something people may not know, other times it is something people may not want to know.
My art tell stories, they are puzzles, they have messages some clear and some not. I want the onlooker to try and solve my work, enjoy it, be challenged by it, and feel it, just as I have when making it.

Each work I produce no matter of size or medium, helps me discover more about myself. For me as a person and a artist I want to push myself as much as I can on all levels.
